Fixed replacement teeth – in just one treatment day

Would you like a fixed solution for an edentulous jaw – as quickly as possible and without months of waiting? With the All-on-4 concept, in suitable cases we can fit fixed teeth on implants in just one treatment day. Instead of many individual implants, four strategically positioned implants per jaw are usually enough to support a complete, fixed bridge.

At our dental practice in Düsseldorf, we offer this procedure for patients who have no teeth or severely damaged teeth and are looking for a long-term, comfortable solution.

What is the All-on-4 concept?

All-on-4 means: all teeth on four implants. Four dental implants are placed in each jaw, onto which a fixed bridge with 10 to 12 teeth is attached. The rear implants are placed at an angle to make the best possible use of the existing bone. As a result, extensive bone grafting is often not necessary.

What makes it special: on the same day as the implants are placed, you usually receive a fixed temporary bridge with which you can leave the practice and eat and speak again. After the healing phase (3 to 6 months), the temporary bridge is replaced by the final dental prosthetics.

Who is All-on-4 suitable for – and who is it not suitable for?

  • Edentulous patients: Upper and/or lower jaw without teeth
  • Severely damaged remaining teeth: When the remaining teeth are no longer worth preserving
  • Denture wearers: Who are dissatisfied with a removable denture
  • Patients with reduced bone volume: Thanks to the angled positioning of the implants, bone grafting can often be avoided

The procedure is not suitable in the case of untreated periodontitis, certain general medical conditions or heavy smoking, because the healing of the implants is then at risk. Whether All-on-4 is an option for you is clarified during diagnostics.

How the treatment proceeds

  1. Diagnostics and 3D planning
Using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT), we analyse your jaw situation in three dimensions. The implant positions are planned precisely on the computer.
  2. Treatment day: implant placement and immediate restoration
The four implants are placed under local anaesthesia or general anaesthesia. The temporary bridge made in advance is then screwed onto the implants. If the implants are stable enough, you leave the practice with fixed teeth on the same day.
  3. Healing phase (3 to 6 months)
The implants fuse with the jawbone. The temporary bridge is fully functional.
  4. Final restoration
After the healing phase, the temporary bridge is replaced by the definitive bridge from our in-house dental laboratory – precisely fitting, aesthetic and durable.

Advantages of fixed teeth in one day

  • Fixed teeth straight away: No months of waiting without teeth
  • Only 4 implants per jaw: Fewer implants, less surgical effort
  • Often without bone grafting: The angled positioning makes the best use of the existing bone
  • Fixed dental prosthetics: No taking out, no adhesive, no slipping
  • Natural appearance: The bridge is made individually and is intended to look as natural as possible
  • Eating: You can eat and chew with more confidence again

Costs

The cost of fixed teeth in one day depends on your individual findings, the bone volume and the chosen material. German statutory health insurance contributes a fixed subsidy towards dental prosthetics. We prepare a transparent treatment and cost plan for you in advance and advise you on financing options and payment by instalments. You will find guide prices on our page on the cost of dental implants.

Frequently asked questions about fixed teeth in one day

How long do fixed teeth on 4 implants last?
With good oral hygiene and regular check-ups, All-on-4 restorations can last many years. The implants themselves are designed for long-term use, and the bridge can be renewed if necessary.
Is the treatment painful?
The implants are placed under local anaesthesia or, on request, under general anaesthesia. After the procedure, swelling and discomfort may occur, which can usually be managed well with painkillers.
Can I eat normally with the temporary bridge?
The temporary bridge is fixed in place and can bear load. In the first few weeks we recommend softer food; after that you can gradually return to a normal diet.
Is All-on-4 possible even with little bone?
A key advantage of the All-on-4 concept is that, thanks to the angled positioning of the rear implants, bone grafting can often be avoided even where bone volume is reduced. Whether the procedure is suitable for you is clarified in the 3D diagnostics.
