More precise, gentler, more predictable
Dentistry has changed fundamentally in recent years as a result of digital technologies. What used to be based on experience and a trained eye is now supported by precise 3D data. At our dental practice in Düsseldorf, we rely on modern diagnostics that make treatments safer and results easier to plan.
Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT)
Cone beam computed tomography (also known as digital volume tomography) provides three-dimensional images of the jaw with considerably lower radiation exposure than a conventional CT scan. We use CBCT, among other things, for:
- Precise planning of dental implants – position, angle and length are determined in advance on the computer
- Assessment of root canals in complex cases
- Diagnostics before wisdom tooth surgery – position of the tooth roots and proximity to nerves
- Detection of cysts, inflammation and bone defects
Intraoral scanner
Instead of conventional impression material, we scan your teeth digitally. In just a few minutes, the intraoral scanner creates a highly precise 3D model of your teeth. This is more comfortable than an impression and provides very precise data – especially for making dental prosthetics, veneers and Invisalign aligners.
Computer-guided implant planning
Based on the CBCT data, we plan implants on the computer in a 3D simulation. This computer-guided planning enables:
- Exact positioning of the implants
- Protection of nerves and neighbouring structures
- Minimally invasive procedures with, as a rule, less swelling
- Aesthetic results that are easier to plan
Our own dental laboratory with a digital workflow
Our in-house dental laboratory works with the same digital data. From the scan and the planning through to the production of crowns, bridges and splints – everything from a single source. This means shorter treatment times and precisely fitting results.
